The PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance is an integrated solution that offers industry-leading de-duplication, data protection solutions, and multi-cloud capabilities. The Data Manager Appliance supports a large ecosystem of traditional and modern workloads, including replication, instant access and restore, search, monitoring, reporting, cloud readiness, disaster recovery, and long-term retention to the cloud, in a single appliance.

Dell PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance is designed as a purpose-built backup appliance, that offers flexible capacity and performance resources to address data-intensive workloads, ensuring the highest levels of application availability, security, and performance. The minimum storage capacity for a DM5500 appliance configuration without any expansion enclosures is 12 TB to 96 TB. The maximum storage capacity for a DM5500 appliance configuration with three expansion enclosures is 256 TB. The Data Manager Appliance supports 25G and 10G networking.
The appliance also leverages Role Based Access Control (RBAC) to provide an additional layer of security, so that data is always available, secure, storage optimized. The Data Manager Appliance provides simplified workflows for installation and upgrades.
